Energy Efficiency Guidebooks for Industry
LBNL has experience in developing studies to assess energy-efficient industrial technologies. Technology assessments include a description of the technology, an assessment of potential energy savings, and of the investments and cost-savings (including non-energy benefits). Such studies have been performed for specific industrial sectors, as well as for categories of cross-cutting technologies (e.g. motors, steam systems). Reports have been developed for policymakers on the cost-effective potential for energy efficiency, as well as guidelines or handbooks for plant energy managers. LBNL provides this type of technical support to the California Energy Commission and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's ENERGY STAR® Industry program.
Based on these studies, LBNL has developed the following guidebooks for use in China:
