Hongyou Lu

As a research associate, Hongyou Lu joined the China Energy Group in 2008 after receiving her M.A. in East Asian Studies from Stanford University. She focuses on industrial energy efficiency, especially in cement industry, and compares life-cycle assessment in Chinese cement industry to practices in other countries and ISO standards. She also has a strong interest in building energy efficiency, and currently she is working on analysis of building energy efficiency technologies and building life cycle assessment. Hongyou began her work at the group by supporting senior members of the group to analyze and evaluate data of China’s energy supply, consumption, and fuel prices. She got her bachelor degree in history with a double major in international relations from Peking University in China. She is a photoshop lover and likes hiking.
