Shuqin Chen
Shuqin Chen is the postdoctoral fellow with the China Energy group at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. She is the joint PH.D of Hunan Unviersity, China and Tohoku University, Japan. Chen's current research focuses on building energy retrofit in China. She spent nearly seven years on energy consumption data gathering for Chinese urban residential buildings, and made the energy use analyses of both urban and rural residential energy use. In addition, she is engaged in the energy audit by advanced statistical theory, and she took part in the compilation of national statistical standard of energy use for civil buildings in China. In addition, she is also interested in studying the relationship between building energy use and its influence factors in the field of building envelop, the operation of appliances, occupants’ behaviors, social market, et.al.
She got the Master degree in building environment and equipment engineering, and got the PH.D in heating, ventilation and air condition engineering. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano, singing and traveling.
