Jingke Hong

Chris Jingke Hong is currently a Ph.D. candidate of the Department of Building and Real Estate, Polytechnic University in Hong Kong. He received his bachelor’s degree in engineering degree in 2010 from Chongqing University. He later studied in Harbin Institute of Technology, and received his master’s degree in Management Science and Engineering. In 2012, he was awarded a Ph.D. Fellowship from Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research focuses on life cycle analysis of environmental performance of buildings from both micro and macro perspective. He is also a reviewer for several international journals such as Journal of Cleaner Production and Habitant International.

Prior to his visit to China Energy Group of LBNL, he also visited Yonsei University in South Korea and Feng Chia University in Taiwan as an exchange student. During his stay in LBNL, he will be working on establishing a multi-regional Input-output (MRIO) Framework for assessing embodied energy use of the construction industry in China.
