Kate Chrisman is a consultant on the collaborative project between Rocky Mountain Institute, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, China's Energy Research Institute and The Energy Foundation Beijing.

Kate has over nine years of research and analysis on energy markets, including market research for the world's second largest energy pricing agency, media work on climate change, sustainability and impact investing and analysis on energy efficiency for commercial buildings. Prior to her work with LBNL, Kate covered energy markets from Beijing, China for Argus Media. Her work at Argus ranged from initiating coverage on renewables to enhancing coverage on oil, gas and electricity. Before that she worked on climate change and environmental policy and collaborated with investors on their mission to incorporate social & environmental criteria into the investment making process. She has also consulted on media strategy and worked as a freelance writer.

Kate has a master's degree in public policy from the London School of Economics and a B.A. from Colorado College.
