In this paper, the exterior and internal surface temperature of roof and the indoor air temperature were measured and comparatively analyzed between two plants, which one with normal profiled steel sheet roof and the other with solar reflecting profiled steel sheet roof, under continuous sunny days and natural ventilation conditions. And the insulating effect and thermal environment improvement of solar reflecting roof were quantified. The results show that compared with the normal roof plant, the exterior and internal surface temperature of roof and the indoor air temperature of the solar reflecting roof plant was respectively decreased by 12~16 ℃, 5~7 ℃ and 1.5~2.5 ℃, in clear midday in summer with high levels of solar radiation.
