Nina Zheng Khanna is a Scientific Engineering Associate in the China Energy Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Since 2007, she has been working in the China Energy Group on China's appliance efficiency standards and labeling programs, building energy efficiency, bottom-up energy end-use modeling, low carbon cities development, and energy supply and energy policy analysis. Her recent research focuses on collaborative in-depth bottom-up modeling of China's energy and CO2 pathways to 2050, impact evaluation of recent Chinese appliance standards, development of tools for low carbon cities, and analysis of unconventional energy resources in China. Prior to joining the lab, she worked at the California Public Utilities Commission and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Nina holds a Bachelors of Science in Science, Technology and International Affairs from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and a Master's in Energy and Resources from University of California at Berkeley.
