Jiang Lin of Berkeley Lab's China Energy Group will join the University of California-Berkeley as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics, beginning January 1, 2018. Lin is a staff scientist in the China Energy Group, the Nat Simons Presidential Chair in China Energy Policy, and co-director of the Berkeley Tsinghua Joint Research Center on Energy and Climate Change (BTJRC).
This joint appointment will facilitate closer collaboration between Berkeley Lab and UC Berkeley in the area of energy and climate research. Established in 2016 by UC Berkeley, Berkeley Lab and Tsinghua University, BTJRC has already developed a portfolio of joint research projects, a leadership training program in partnership with the College of Natural Resources, and held the inaugural Berkeley Tsinghua Clean Energy Forum to share the findings of joint research conducted by researchers in three leading academic institutions.
