Qibo Liu was a visiting professor from Chang’an University. Professor Liu was with the China Energy Group from 2012-2013. During her stay she worked on CERC projects, the Global Building Performance Network project to review building energy policies in China, Low Carbon City project and the Eco-City tool development.

Qibo Liu is an associate professor and master instructor in Architecture Department of Chang’an University in Xi’an, China. She teaches architectural design and design methods of green building. She is committee member of Green Building Evaluation and Labeling of Shaanxi Province in China. She has authored a book in 2006 based on her dissertation of Ph.D. Liu has over 12 years of experience working in the building energy conservation field. Having the background of architecture, her research not only focused on technology, but more to promote energy conservation through the passive design. Her recent research focuses on regional building’s energy conservation, especially in north-west of China, to promote appropriate energy conservation technology in conjunction with the region’s natural environment, economic and social environment. In addition, she has also been involved in the energy efficiency of buildings and community in small towns and rural area in China where they face the wave of urbanization.
