Rui Wang (Raymond) is a research assistant for the Building Technology and Urban Systems Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. His work focuses on research projects in the fields of industrial and commercial energy management and energy efficiency in the US and other countries like China. He holds a keen interest in energy and environmental policy and hopes to incorporate scientific understandings of energy and the climate system into policy making process.
Rui received his bachelor degree in Environmental Chemistry/ Environmental Policy from Duke University, where his study and research focused on air pollution regulation, environmental chemistry and renewable energy technology. Prior to joining LBNL, he worked as a lab technician for the Global Health Institute at Duke University, researching the human health impact of air pollution exposure.
